No never. Have you check mid size firms, in-house, government?

like

No. Not sure where you are licensed, but consider moving. Also, “big law” are not the only law firms that are hiring, have sophisticated work, or where you can make good money. You may need to relook at your resume again and have it edited by someone.

Lol im at 8 months and still looking..rejection and ghosting week after week. Losing hope. At least you aren't alone!!!

Consider practice areas that have a large tie to government regulation. The Biden Administration is likely to significantly ramp up regulatory requirements and many firms will be short-staffed

Think education, consumer protection, SEC, IRS, etc.

like

Other big law firms?

Did they give you any website time?

Still no to your question.

Agency fish who have their yearly reviews soon, whatcha thinking? I chatted with a few coworkers who have theirs coming up... a lot of them seem concerned about how much leverage they will have with rising inflation, economic downturn, and rising layoffs.

For those in the same boat, what are you hoping for? If you get a merit or promotional offer - did you plan on negotiating? Or are you going to take what you get and try to stay under the radar just in case layoffs are coming your way?

Hey everyone. Looking to transfer from Risk advisory to some sort of deal analytics or operations analytics team. I have experience with tableau and excel and that is it. I like working with data and numbers and honestly miss working in excel, in risk I don’t do anything with numbers or data.

I have a burning question. I have been teaching for over 18 years, which is something that nags me to no end.

Suppose you agree that the provided professional development offered through our districts is ineffective. Why not invest in your professional development by seeking a coach or mentor or even pay for professional resources that would help? To put it plainly, why don't we educators invest in our professional development?

Does anyone take high level tech jobs in government seriously?

I've seen a BA in international affairs with 5 YOE end up as the "chief product officer" for a $30M organization with no technical or product (rather than program) mgmt experience. Another Director for AI ($5B org) with a BA in poli sci and no technical experience/education either.

I've seen this again and again. On one side, I'm wondering why I'm stuck at the second level of FAANG with my tech chops. On the other, maybe these...

So, I have been offered a job at mid-tier firm, but have interviews at top- tier ones coming up. Is it frowned upon or risky to accept the offer with the possibility of accepting a better offer if it is received? The firm has given me a hard deadline in which to reply to the offer.
