Hi Fishies! (Is that what we are? I’m going with it)
I just came across a Google Research and Insights role that got me SUPER excited and I was about to apply when I had the idea of seeing if anyone would be willing to give me a referral. I understand (and respect) that most of you Googlers on here feel that a referral is only useful if you know the person but I would be happy to jump on the phone to give you some info about me. It would mean so much! 4 YOE at a major audio steaming service

I would also tell firm b that you have an offer on the table but would really like to work for them. Ask them to either excellerate their decision making process and give you and answer by x date.
Definitely this. Don’t accept A and then back out, legal industry is small and that reflects badly on your personal brand.
What I did, I told firm A that I’d like my start date to be 2-3 weeks out. This will give me time to retract any acceptances given to firm A.
I did something similar but can start by stretching your reply to the offer for a couple weeks—ask to meet with associates, etc.
