I have used and hated both iManage and NetDocs over the course of my career. Overall, I think NetDocs has lost more work than iManage…but it’ll all depend on how your IT implements the programming.

iManage is much better than Netdocs
I have used both
IManage is good but only if integrated into outlook. My first firm had the integration. My second firm didn’t and that was a big part of why I burned out. Also, more important than the system are the folder setup and filing structure, and naming conventions. Must get everyone on board using it consistently so everyone can find documents easily.
Agree with this; it needs to be integrated with outlook. I just moved to a firm which does not have it integrated and it’s damn annoying.
I have used and like iManage. Never heard of NetDocs.
We use iManage and it’s great! I think the reason it works for us is because IT is really on top of it and our paralegals are constantly tasked with making sure the documents are where they’re supposed to be. If used and implemented correctly iManage can be heaven. Never lost any work or had it crash on me. The only thing I’d say is, the search filter takes some getting used to. No amount of training helped when I first started.
I like netdocs, it does depend on your IT folks though
I have used both. ND is trash for searching and organization. But it’s nice cuz it’s cloud based. Depends on how progressive your peeps are.
My firm has ND & its ok.
We use iManage. I used to use CaseAware, and it’s not necessarily an upgrade or a downgrade.
There are things iManage is good for (like searching bulk documents) and things it sucks at (like being randomly buggy). I agree that your IT team and day to day users will have the highest impact on whether it works well or whether it’s a mess.
iManage seems to have better search features and integrates well with email and building out folders for organization.
I like imanage at my firm. Works well.
If anyone has switched from OpenText to one of these too it’d be great to get your perspective on the experience and comparison.

I manage sucks. Look into Wolrd Docs

What don’t you like about Wd? I’ve used like 5 different systems and it’s by far my favorite
I’ve used both. Totally in favor of NetDocs over iManage.
Old iManage was good. New imanage is awful, but sadly probably still the best choice
