I'm a senior with over 12+ years work exp... Can I apply for junior positions with lesser responsibilities for a lesser package?
Two reasons - I would like to move to a different technology but don't have relevant experience and I'm willing to compromise on salary for lesser stress.

They should have rotating “sabbaticals” (1-2 months long) - the reason we were able to grind in school is because we knew there was a summer break and some light at the end, before we did it all over again.

I’d be happy with 4 weeks with billable credit. The sabbatical idea is great too. I’d love a month over summer and a month over winter.
Billable credit is the way. I don’t know how anyone expects to take any vacation with a target at 1900 or above. It’s almost like a joke that they hand you “4 weeks pto”. Like don’t even fucking offer that if it’s not billable credit *will smith slap*

Incorrect. You can already take 4 weeks of vacation. Only thing stopping 95% of BigLaw associates from taking 4 weeks is fear and, relatedly, a flawed perception that the culture doesn’t allow it. Just do it and see what happens (nothing). I want money. I already take 4-6 weeks of vacation.
Edit: I’m in favor of mandatory vacation policies *in addition* to raises obvi. But if it’s between vacation and raises I want raises every time. ‘Real’ vacation time is already possible, although I admit it would be helpful if firms did more to encourage it so that it wasn’t just me and a few others who are good at setting boundaries that realize we are able to go.
Do you have a billable requirement? If so, how much?

I'm sure this will be crushed, but there are literally tens of thousands of law students who would literally step on people to have your job.

I was one of these law students. Now I’m a decent mid level and would love to see 4 weeks of vacation with billable credit. I’d be in BL for many more years with that change.
The sabbatical is a great idea. There's a U.K. law firm which offers this at the 4 year mark (and it's paid I think!) which is great because that's the point where there's a lot of attrition so it's a good way to keep you there. If I knew I would get a sabbatical if I stay till 3rd or 4th year I would totally hang on (my firm is busy but not a K&E level sweatshop)

Love this idea.
