First APM gig here in Government but department lacks PM fundamentals and it’s a joke. 2 PMs jumped ship in their first 6 months. Would you recommend staying 2 years to then try to land a PM role or move now for APM?

I’ve been a contractor since December 2021 at a place that generally converts contractors to full time after 1 year. Keep being told I’ll be extended (as a contractor) but I’d prefer to become full time/a permanent employee.

I got an offer that I would love to take, it is a jump for me role wise (Tech Program Manager) at a big company . But that requires move to Seattle from Midwest. I was looking at the housing costs and it’s huge difference. can anyone convince me if moving to Seattle is best bet for career,kids and family if I can put up with the housing costs. Salary wise not a lot increased as I was already making good enough. But I need a role change as I am stuck at where I am for a long time.
