I could be wrong, but they sound like Very different jobs, which could greatly change the path your career takes.
Digitas sounds like a production job. Helping execute digital ideas the creatives sell.
Arnold sounds like a strategy/planning job, helping with the insights, research, data that informs the idea.
My opinion: strategy and planning is a more interesting and creative career path than production.
I was given the choice between being a media planner for the strategy team or the digital activation team when I interviewed at my new company. I choose the strategy role because I was more interested in the work and skillset I would develop. I would take some time and consider the responsibilities of each role and think about how that aligns with the career you want. Is one more creative or technical? Will one require you to interact more with clients or vendors? What is the purpose of each? And besides role specific things, I would take a hard look at each company and their benefits. Will one help you get a better role in the future? I spent a lot of time reading reviews and even reached out to employees on linkedin to hear about the culture before I accepted an offer.
Stay away from Arnold. Just trust me.
Edelman NYC is so toxic I don’t think there is a shittier frying pan. Worst job of my career. Idk about Arnold’s vibe but I wish I could erase my year at Edelman NYC from memory. Bad work, bad people… just BAD.
