First positive case in NY - if this virus starts to spread in NYC, it’s game over. I want to WFH tomorrow.

Game over man! It’s game over!

like

It’s not “game over” read the statistics, unless you’re elderly (70+) and have a health problem you’re probably going to be okay

like

Good luck finding hand sanitizer - shelves were empty at my local Target.

Calm down, It’s a virus, not saying it’s not bad, but like the flu, your body can recover and heal if you take care of it right.

Well there are 9 people dead in Washington so yeah, I appreciate you guys taking it seriously 👍

While you’re at it, make sure to stay inside so you don’t get struck by lightning too. Probably a similar chance

“The patient contracted the virus during recent travel and is isolated in her home under close monitoring.”

This person is Patient Zero in all of NYC and warranted a response from the Mayor and the Health Commissioner. Do you think she’s NOT being monitored??

funny

First case is not scary for the whole state but it's a starting sign of spreading

like

Lol @ game over.

Opinion alert:
This virus is probably not containable. The variable being the upcoming spring, which assumes it is similar to flu virus. We are too interconnected to stop this thing. We just have to hang on and do what we can to tilt the probabilities in our favor.

I wouldn’t be too worried...she got the virus while travelling in Iran 😳

Yea, and you assumed she flew back alone, ha?

Hi fishes, can you guys share your favorite websites to look for remote job? To look for start up companies? TIA :)

I went client side and am miserable - it’s madness on this side. Have made it 90 days and would prefer not to make it more than 120 - but we’re in a pandemic. Half of the problem is that I “onboarded” remote and the onboarding was TERRIBLE. The other thing is that there is no process and I’m on a team full of managers who have spent 15 years at this company and have no availability to talk to me with a day full of meetings. I’d prefer not to quit without a backup but I cry every day.

Fishies, I am hiring a partner in crime to help me introduce PETERMAYER to the national stage. This isn't your typical biz dev role - it's designed to be a hybrid/cross-discipline role for someone who wants to use their full creative, strategic brain and most definitely NOT stay in their lane. Know anyone that sounds like that, send them my way! (Agency is full-time flex/hybrid, but a desire to be NOLA-based is strongly preferred; however remote may be negotiable.)

I received a job offer for a PM position with a base of $125K and a 10% bonus, fully remote and ok benefits. The parental leave is pretty bad, just FMLA and STD/LTD so the most I’d get is 60% of my salary for 12 weeks. I’ve cancelled most of my interviews except for one where the pay is $135K, 20% bonus, hybrid schedule, good benefits and 16 weeks fully paid parental leave. I’d like to start my family in a year or two - is it better to take the remote gig or the hybrid role with full paid leave?

What are the best healthcare companies to try to get in at? I live in Atlanta but I’m also open to remote. I have a health science degree and currently work at a smaller healthcare company on the corporate side in the revenue cycle. I’m open to any options I am just looking to get out of the company I’m at now because there isn’t much room for growth. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hey ladies. I had a miscarriage July 2021 and my cycle started back up not long after. Then in January it just stopped. It’s been 3 months without my period and not sure what could be causing it (I’m not pregnant). My diet hasn’t changed and neither has my activity. I run marathons but I’ve been doing that for years now and it’s never impacted my period prior. I have an appointment to see my OB in a week but wondering if any of you experienced this.

Hi all, I got laid off from my current company (product based) a month ago. Since then I've been looking for new opportunities. I got an offer from a good product based company with a good package and also my current company offering me rehire with promotion and a good package. I have a good rapport with my current manager, and he played a major role in offering this rehire opportunity. I'm confused about making the right decision here. Kindly share your views. Both offers are pretty much same.

So I have recently joined a startup in the EV space. It's a SPAC, so it's a crazy ride. I interviewed for a top HR job, but they offered me a second-in-command opportunity, and I took it. Overall, I love it. However, I recently got an opportunity to join crypto-NFT startup as a top HR. My current startup is well funded, sales could be better, but we just acquired a company to help us to progress with them. The leadership team is strong, but a bit on the boomer-ish side of things.
