First post- I’ve been working at a $50M family office for three years, and in that time I’ve helped start/acquire/grow a number of small businesses, reporting directly to the CEO. My duties have ranged from accounting, DD, operations consulting, and relationship mgmt with our portcos’ executive teams. My job is so unlike traditional corporate jobs that I’m not sure where my experience would best fit elsewhere. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Which parts of the job do you like best and would like more of in your next role? Then spin your experience that way when you’re interviewing

I’ve really enjoyed the DD and working with our portcos. That’s lead me to consider PE and consulting but I don’t come from a top school or have an MBA

Hi Fishes, currently it is 3+ years into Advetising in my current company. In terms of growth it might take another 3-6 months for a promotion which is again tentative.

I have got three offers and all are mentioned below,

GroupM - Manager Advertising
CTC - 10L

Regalix - Client solutions manager
CTC - 8.3

PhonePe
Yet to get a package confirmation

I’m in a dilemma whether to switch or be with the same company.

Any advice/thoughts will really help clear the mind

Hi fishes,

I just got an offer from Morgan Stanley. The offer is indeed handsome and provides other benefits as well. The problem is I just relocated to Pune for my wife's work, we have set up our house here and now if I accept offer I again have to relocate to Bangalore because they aren't offering WFH. What should I do? I know Morgan Stanley is a very reputed firm and might make an enormous impact in my technical growth, but is it worth taking the pain of relocation again?? I am confused.

Agency folks – What’s the determining factor when you make the jump from Senior-level PM to Program or Project Director? Do you find that leveling up requires putting your “account” hat on? Looking for some advice, would anyone here take a step back into their career for a role that you think you can grow in? Background: manager with KPMG people & change. Been in consulting for over 10 years. I enjoy it but as I have no ambition to be a partner, this is likely the best time for me to move now. I’m looking to get into an HR role but the issue is that I don’t have any HR (generalist) experience. I came across an internal role at KPMG but it’s a level lower than what I am in right now
