Would you say summaries are as effective for self help books like "the subtle art of giving a fk" and other similar books? I feel the books themselves ramble on too much on a side story only to tell a point that could be summed up in a couple sentences.

What is the point in having someone else click through your slides? Is it mainly a power flex? An issue with not having two screens?
