First time having to pitch and show a company their product during an interview, any tips?

I’m convinced that the reason some of these firms are so prestigious is because they have intentionally exclusionary recruitment practices. I used to believe that you had to already be rich to get hired at MBB. Now being on the other side of the recruitment process , I really do feel that it rings true. I hate the way we evaluate candidates and decide on who is “high priority” during coffee chats.

Am working at a tech startup and looking to move to a larger tech company. Partly seeking better WLB, partly want to work somewhere with more resources so I can continue to grow. What’s a good way to frame this in interviews? Does it reflect poorly to say I want to work somewhere w more resources, like im not a self starter?

Lately, a lot of recruiters have been reaching out. I'm mostly happy in my role and w/my company (no longer w/Edelman), but one job caught my eye with a huge salary and title bump at a comparable company, culture and work wise. Interviews are going well - I'm torn about leaving - things are good now but some extra $$ for what seems like a similar experience seems like a no-brainer. Senior AE here with just under 5 years in the industry. I’m looking to move out of selling and into a sales engineer role. My current OTE is 205k, 115k Base with 90k variable. I understand that I’ll be taking a bit of a pay cut moving into a sales engineer role. I just interviewed for a Senior Sales Engineer role and their offer is 140k base + 20% bonus ($28k) + some amount of company stock (company is pre-IPO). Does this sound in line with other companies?

I was contacted by a recruiter just before I went on maternity leave. We stayed in touch and now, a month into my leave, I am preparing for a first interview at Google for an interaction designer role. First, any tips on how to prepare for this interview? Second, I feel like if I’m doing all this interview/material prep, I should go all in, apply at other big companies and try for multiple offers. Just got a verbal from Oracle for a manager position and should be getting the official offer by EOW. When I got the verbal today she said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to get there but we may be able to get you 100K base”.. I’m seeing on Glassdoor and Comparably that the base is at 110 - 125… how should I bring this up or push for a higher base if it’s “the closest they can get? Just trying to prepare ahead of time so I know how to respond, I’m new to negotiating! Any help would be amazing!

I am fairly new to sales (3 years), and I just closed a deal that will pay out twice what I made all of last year ($75k vs $150k). My question is: nobody here can talk to their friends or family about this kind of stuff, right? Do you all disclose to people that you are pulling in $250-$300k in a year? Just got promoted to account manager and am currently waiting for the offer letter. How do you negotiate when they essentially tell you there’s no negotiating?
