Mikes tacos in Ocean Beach to go, then take them to sunset cliffs at sunset. El Zarape in University Heights for the best California burrito in town. Kettner Exchange, civico 1845, Under Belly, Crack Shack are all close in Little Italy and you can't have a bad time. Star lite Lounge for great mules or old fashions. Common Craft has a tiki bar speak easy in the back that's fun. You MUST go to La Jolla to see the sea lions/seals and get the best gelato at Bobboi, it'll change your life.

Sushi Ota in PB is amazing but you better have a reservation, Phils BBQ in Stadium Village, Tacos at Tacos El Gordo (street style), Lolita's for carne asada fries. Those are my musts. Of course In-n-Out.
The Shout is a sick "dueling piano" bar! Most fun I've ever had was there
I stayed at the US grant hotel and it was a short walk

Also, don't eat in Little Italy at anywhere aside from Extraordinary. It's all shitty tourist trap.
