First time needing to edgarize a document (my practice is ECVC and have a client doing a Reg CF raise). Am I right in assuming that it’s just converting a Word doc or PDF doc into an SEC-specific format? Any recs on service providers? Would love a cloud-based self-serve tool and understanding of how pricing is supposed to work.

Look up DFin active disclosure. I don't like it but it's self service to a greater extent.

like

Dfin, edgaragents, workiva. I liked workiva the most (self service) but it was also the most expensive. Give them and yourself a lot more time than you'll think you or they will need -- SPACs are busting everyone's balls and they can be super slow.

like

Oh by time I meant initial EDGARization will take a few hrs and to file may take more than just a couple hours so if you want to file by 5:30 you might need to give the all clear as early as 2-2:30. Nothing substantive. I'm only familiar with registered securities offerings.

Toppan does them. If you’re doing it yourself and have issues call them. They might need to reformat it for you

like

Also by call them I mean edgar help desk if you’re doing it yourself

Toppan is my fave

Edgar Agents is the industry standard. I personally deal with printers all day every day and Edgar Agents are the best, Toppan has been a disappointment. If you need help, feel free to reach out. Pro-tiP- make sure you proof their work, they all make mistakes (as we all do). Once they have a relationship with you they will start to notice mistakes in filings and be very helpful.

Also pro-tip- send in Word Files only. PDF conversions are very expensive and take longer

helpful

Sorry, I was thinking about a form C-TR. Form C-AR you should watch out for any errors/mistakes or
Edits that were not made.

Don’t think there’re self service tools out there. We usually use either Donnelley or Merrill. And yes, it’s just converting a Word doc to SEC format, and they handle the filing as well.

Donnelley always does good work & is quick on turning proofs / edits to proofs

Cant they use Republic for Reg CF?

Republic recommends using lawcloud.co as part of their instruction set but link was broken and rest of the lawcloud site wasn’t clear what they offer in terms of edgarization and doesn’t seem to be a core part of their service.

I recommend Edgar Agents.

I am planning on asking for a raise in my base salary and I am unsure what the market price would be for my skills at a staffing agency. I am in the top producer at my company with over 50 producers. I generate an average of $120k in GM per quarter. I am approaching my first year end review and I am currently at a base salary of $70,000 and I have 3 years of prior experience in the industry. What should I be asking for in this situation?

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.

Working at AmLaw 100 firm office in LCOL city. 1950 billable hour requirement. I make 60-70k less than peer offices within the firm. But I actually get more than enough work to fill my plate in a meaningful way (i.e., not just doc review and research). Am I shortchanging myself by living in the LOCL city? Or staying at this firm when I could do the same (or fewer) hours at a comparable firm? I don’t care about partnership.

Any insight on Quinn Emanuel? I have an interview for a full time remote position. Specifically wondering about hours, resources for associates (I.e. firm technology, case management software etc. are they pretty up to date technologically speaking?), culture, any other insight. Thanks in advance!

Also I don’t really like the work (deals and fund investments). Moving to a much smaller firm with slightly lower billable target that pays market. I will be doing more interesting work, in a smaller group where partners seem to care about my growth. God I hope this is a right move.. any advice would be much appreciated.
