Hi Fishers, I want to pivot my career into management consultant. I am currently working as a Market research analyst with 1 YOE. Can someone please suggest me how or where should I start to build my career in management consulting at Big 4.
Also, please suggest entry level jobs that I will be eligible for with skills in Strategy, primary and secondary research, and competitor analysis.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone 👀
Hello,
Last Wednesday I was able to get a Deloitte job referral, I applied the next day. Yesterday I signed in to my account and it shows that I applied for the job but when I click on the link it show me an error page. I searched for the job on the website itself and it disappeared. There were like multiple positions but different locations, now they’re all expired. What does this mean? Did they choose a candidate already? It’s weird it never happened to me before
Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

Sounds like it’s time for a break. If you have some PTO, I’d start there. When you get back, maybe consider looking for new jobs or talking with some other teams to see if there’s a better fit for you elsewhere. It sounds like your dept is not the place to be.
Manager 1, I certainly agree with Adobe 1 on the PTO and will definitely consider taking a moment to evaluate. I believe my fear is two-fold.
1. I'm at the first point in my career where I don't know what is the next role/position to challenge myself with. Certainly I have some obstacles at my current role, but they are more of a nuisance rather than a goal to overcome. I want to have a sense of progression again rather than feeling stagnant.
2. I have been on and off this fence of Should I leave the dept. or company altogether? for about 6 months now. Comfort/job security certainly play a role in swinging back and forth on the topic of leaving.
I'd recommend talking to a mentor (even paid one) before jumping ship. Is there a chance of salvaging the team or bringing these issues to the attention of higherups to accomplish some real change? If they have no interest in doing so, then by all means start scoping out other opportunities
Engineer 1, eh there have been very very loose talks of revitalization, but I am skeptical. Hopeful, but skeptical (i.e. actual accomplishing that task, everyone buying in, timeline, etc.) Ironically, I have spoken to one of my friends, who is a higherup, and he agrees with the same narrative that I have originally presented, but agreeing and facilitating change are two different animals. If I did choose to leave, I am nervous about being pigeonholed into doing Sales Support again. If I do leave, I want it to be away from that type of work altogether.
