Or stay home - try some new recipes, deep clean, rearrange furniture, go on long walks, watch some good shows. Try spending a day or two with no contact with anyone. No calls, no messages. See how it feels.

For starters, social media is the worst, got rid of mine 4 years ago and it's way better. People only show good shit, not real shit. Do you. What makes you happiest? Is there a restaurant you've been dying to try? Bet you can get a seat amd take some awesome food photos while tagging the place. Make THEM jealous of you living your best life. Don't let somebody else dictate your happiness, do you!

Disabled social media the last three months and don’t miss it at all. Catch up on movies, books, or anything you’ve been putting off or wanting to try. It’s your time, have fun!

Step 1: delete Instagram from your phone. It takes a minute to download it again in 2020. Step 2: marathon watching of all the Netflix and Prime series you missed out on. Step 3: reserve a solo dinner date at a restaurant of choice. Step 4: enjoy the solitude, let your souls soak it up, don’t fight it.

But anytime I wanna talk about it, the stress and nerves overwhelm me and my eyes start welling up. Idk how to control it.

If buy the partners you work with regularly a holiday gift, how much do you spend? Usually I get baked goods or food items which you can’t tell the actual amount spent on. This year, though, I’d like to support local restaurants by encouraging people to order takeout—hence, giving gift cards. How much is appropriate for a restaurant gift card from an associate to a partner?

I interviewed for a full-time role (remote) but it was later revealed it would require relocation. I am not wanting to do that and they said I could come on as a contractor. The vendor I would go through provides benefits (medical, dental, PTO). What would be a realistic hourly rate to request/negotiate? I want to get as high as possible but also don’t want to settle for less than what I have to. For context, I am at 165k right now and the role would have been a pay cut to 135k (full-time).
