I think the OP might be referring to the ratio of deliverables to client investment. Having been at both big and indie agencies, I can tell you the indie agencies are producing far more work for a client’s budget than the big ones. Probably also why they’re swamped with clients while the general theme on here from holding company folks is that they’re losing jobs right and left.
But, you’re creating value for shareholders indirectly. That’s all that’s important to a publicly traded company. Revenue which creates value. Creative output, awards and all that shit doesn’t matter to them. It’s the system. It won’t change. Just do your best and don’t care too much because then that’s when you get sacked
If it makes you feel any better, all the staff below you know you add no value. As do several of your peers.
