Citi - SVP Salary Expectations for Tech / Controls
Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

micromanagers are the worst - maybe as a new hire if you can quickly catch what your manager is micro-looking for, your life could be easier in the long run? is he a grammar, formatting, message order, etc type of nut?
For sure definitely am trying to figure out this guy’s quirks. Not to long til the project is over with then I’ll finally be free. 🙏
It’s hard and I’ve worked with a few of those. See if you can identify what is causing this and try to solve for it, like, do they want it done their way, are their mistakes or things you’re forgetting, did they have issues with past new hires?
I worked for a boss for 6 months as a mid level pro new hire who just couldn’t let go. Nothing was wrong, he just needed to be in control of everything and emails he made me send were so long 🤦♀️ I would ask him verbally or by slack if he’s cool with what im sending (list key point) or if he needs to see it. If he needs to, can you send final thoughts by x and I’ll get it sent! He finally started following my time limit, sometimes letting me do it and sometimes saying ok I’ll do it. He finally did let go after that point probably bc our VP told him he was too involved.
I once worked for someone who looked at our private work calendars every day (company settings are public) and would need to just do everything or direct how it’s done.
Ok you are a trooper for working with that boss for 6 months lol. Doubt I could hang on that long. 😅 Hopefully you are on to better things now.
Give them a call and have them just dictate words at that point or have them paste in exactly what they want. Sorry this is your experience. We’re not all that bad.
