First Xmas alone at home with elderly mother after fathers death. Covid sensitive since she’s high risk. what can we do in tri state area (in the car, social distanced, she’s elderly) that won’t make Xmas suck as much? Want her to not feel lonely although rest of family is doing their own thing. Appreciate any ideas. Merry Xmas fish!

I think about what I like to do when I bond with older family members. I ask them tell me stories, and I try to remember or record it somehow. Or have them show me some project they've been working on. Work on new project together. Cook together. Read books together. Listen To music or dancing at home.

Just want to say I'm sorry for your loss and hope you to can enjoy spending time together.

My Mom lost her mom last year so for my Mom's birthday I gave her a gift with a saying that my grandma always said. I also had a friend who would buy his grandma the same perfume each year that his granddad used to buy.

Maybe think about ways you can do what he did for her so even tho the person is gone, the experience remains while also honoring their memory.

Digitize her VHS and photos.

How much would a 30 day supply of Vyvanse (30mg) cost me after insurance? I know this is going to vary by plan but I'm still curious as to know how expensive of a medication this is.

My pharmacy informed me that the insurance will not cover without authorization from the psych. My psych was wary about this & instead suggested Ritalin during my session. He mentioned that insurance companies want us to first try Ritalin because they are generally cheaper. How much truth is there to this? Thanks!

Trying out bumble bff. Met a girl for drinks last week and we seemed to hit it off. We mentioned doing something again and coordinating later in the week. I texted her today to ask if she was still interested in doing something this week and she said she was super busy with a huge project and apologized. But she didn’t offer the weekend (which I feel is included in “this week”), didn’t say “lets do another time” or anything like that. Should I take the L and count her as not rly interested 🥲
