Looking for career advice!
Im a new starter in FDD as a Senior, qualified and am sitting for CFA L2. I want to make sure I'm doing everything right to maximise my chances of landing a FO role in a PE/Fund or ER/M&A role at an BB/EB.
A few I've heard so far:
- Get infra deals exp
- Network aggressively
- Leave within 1 yr

See if your company is willing to transition you to an analyst role - see if you like it and then you can jump somewhere else with analyst exp under your belt
Look into transferring into Accounting Advisory at GT. Interesting work and pays better than audit with less hours.
I applied to a rotation in that division but I haven’t heard anything and I doubt they will let me
If you’re gonna make the jump, wait to do it until you are manager. That was the most consistent advice given to me by former PA people.
you could also try to work at a B4, I like the people I work with and it can be a bit more laid back so it could just be your team.,
