Amazon, TpT, Dollar Store, and WalMart. Got a personal laminator two years ago for $20...best friend for life. Also check the storage closet at your own school, amazing what you can find there!
Our supply closet is kept under lock and key and it is rare that you are ever allowed in
Depends on year. I teach 6th grade and have teenage boys. When on a road trip, we stop at colleges. It teaches them about going to college and how each are different. I then buy a pennant from the college. My 6th graders see all of them and they love it! Now that I’m thinking about going to secondary, it’s the perfect decoration that doesn’t need replacing!
Dollar Tree and Dollar General have things cheap. You can add to it. Poster.com have good posters that aren’t that expensive.
Michaels and Target have nice teacher sections too! I think they start putting stuff out in early August though. Also, try Amazon! Get fadeless paper, a few staple office supplies for your desk. Also, posters are good too!
Michaels and hobby lobby regularly have sales and online coupons. If you’re at a supportive school, put the word out that you’re wanting to get decorations and supplies. Those of us who have taught for a while tend to get rid of a lot of stuff at the end of the year, and we’d much rather give it to someone than throw it away. Also, you can find amazing deals on Amazon. If you have a teacher supply store near you, ask if they do any special back to school events.

Do you have Dollar Trees where you are? Everything is actually $1! Target always has cute decorations and trinkets for students that are reasonably priced
First, find out does your school give certain materials to teachers. Some schools give teachers a budget for school supplies. My school does.
