Hi everyone, I am 4.9 years experienced , I joined Fractal 3 months ago as a data engineer, but still haven't got any project. Process is so slow that I have received only 4 to 5 project calls. I switched in hopes that will learn the new tech and tools. But now i am starting to forget even the one i knew. Should i go for change or wait a little more time as fractal is reputed in AI/ML? I have interview lined up with Impetus as for now. Would it be better choice?

Hi IBM sharks 🦈
So I got interviewed for a project by the IBM team. The interviewer told me that its a go ahead from their end, now the client will assess my profile and if they too are fine with it, I will be onboarded?
Is it true that we have client interview as well? If yes then after how many days of interview by IBM team, client interview takes place?
Or its just that if the IBM team is fine with it, we are selected for the project?
Any inputs on this will really help :)

Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Also never work for this person again
Bit more specifics would help us advise you better
Document/screenshot that it was cheaper than the return cost. You actually saved the project some money. Not your fault that the budget was managed poorly.
Escalate. And dont ever work for that person again. The lack of integrity I see / people have to deal with on these boards is so disheartening. :(
Forward approval email to accounting
What kind of expense...?
Was a verbal approval and she acknowledges she approved it. Nit picking on the details. Think the project is running low on funding.
Should I reach out to another trusted manager for advice?
How much would you have to pay back?
Get written approval next time
Enough to be impactful. Basically a month of student loans for me.. just don't know what to do since I received pre-approval..
Feels like every time I push back, she asks to pay back more..
Just pay up or escalate out of principle?
Well what was the approved / non-approved expense exactly ? Alt travel specifics ? Something else?
Well that sucks. Try asking to keep that expense but making a reduction elsewhere to offset (like stay at a cheaper hotel or fewer nights, eat cheaper, take public transportation to airport or client site, etc.
A necessary business expense or would it look bad on you if it were escalated and reviewed by management?
Can't be too specific but alt travel costs. They all totaled cheaper than the return cost.
If it's under like $200 whatever. Also, you should know better to document this sort of thing. Verbal approval is not enough. CYA
Screenshots always helps in lieu of a formal approval. Found it strange to have to do that when I joined D - getting a formal approval via email. So now that it's said & done and you don't have all that assuming... take the average of what your usual would cost you over a period of a month. And use that to compare to your costs for that weekend you apt traveled. That's the next best thing I suppose. But you shouldn't let it go - you didn't do anything wrong other than that approval ofcourse.
She should pay for it not hou
