D1 usually the firm has to redo the recruitment process. Sometimes they try with a modified job description. That of course depends on the person's job.

EY2 - they usually do. When mine was drafted and shared with PML, my PML said it's too generic and made a lot of updates.

Depends on your service line and location. Tech jobs usually don't find matching candidates but if you're audit, tax or even risk it might be easier to find a local candidate. Location is also important because a place like NJ or NY or SFO is an easy spot to find a candidate

Best life lesson I learned from Deloitte: don’t ever, EVER sign a contract that demands you return the sign on bonus if you leave within a year. I thought to myself, “I would never leave a company within a year”, but I grossly underestimated how much I could hate a job.
