Like how much % we should seek or ask on counter generally ? So that they can short list it for further process ? Rather that % should not sound like too much.

10-20% at the minimum

27 easily. I say go for 30. The worst that happens is that it doesn't happen.

Yup, always worth giving it a shot!

When did you buy your first home/rental property? Any tips for a newbie? Thinking of buying a place for my parents (they’d contribute toward down payment and monthly expenses) to then sell or rent out in ~5 years when they retire and move elsewhere.

I’ve been observing the bowl as a 🇨🇦 🐠 for a couple weeks now and I’ve realized 🇺🇸 needs to get off the internet. Stop going down YouTube rabbit holes, take a break, smoke a joint, and go read a real book or something unrelated to Trump, Biden, COVID. Y’all are going to break yourself or the world with this kind of nonsense. Geez you’re stressing me out...I’m going to go take a break now 🚬 🌳

What do ppl think of CohnReznick’s Commerical Tax team in NYC? Vs RSM? Senior 2 with CPA. I am more inclined to CRZ now bc the culture and WLB seems nicer, and it seems they really try to accommodate ppl for WFH. RSM is bigger but I’m not sure if it’s worth to go just for company size.

Anyone have insights on Deloitte’s M&A and Restructuring group? (Comp, culture, etc.)

I know this topic does not get talked about much but will eventually impact almost all of us so here goes. I am thinking of retiring (early) and would love recommendations for countries that I can retire to that. Primary factors would be cost if living, safety, warm climate, good health care system, (preferably) close to the US - not a requirement, stable government and laws, diversity in landscape (beach, rivers, mountains). Definitely not super rich so thinking of 5k a month in expenses.
