I’ve been at a small law firm for a year and eight months, and have been an attorney for one year. By small I mean, it’s me and another attorney (I’m the paralegal and law clerk as well). I don’t plan on sticking around, and am actively seeking new employment. Should I ask for a raise even though a raise wouldn’t make me stay? I’m in the San Diego area, I get paid $37 an hour, no benefits, but I get to work from home two days (I commute 104 miles total when I go into the office).

I'm a 3 yr experienced manual tester with a current CTC 6 LPA. I would like to make a role change. I heard it's difficult to switch to a dev role frm manual QA. If I learn javascript, react js and try for a developer role, will I be getting good opportunities? will it be difficult because I don't have any experience.
Or should I learn selenium and try for automation roles instead?

Owner and top executive (there are only two) took away paid holiday days for employees, of which we are closed, for those who requested vacation before and after the paid holiday days to have additional time off. Those who do not take additional time do get paid the two holiday, closed days. Then they proceed to take that time off, obviously getting paid.
