Congrats! In addition to the above, recommend seeking out time in nature, ideally in the mornings when it's quieter than the rest of the day. Studies have shown it can really help. Also, CBT + medication + yoga + regular offline time has been crucial for me as well. Make sure you prioritize your self care, bc no one else will do it for you!

If the panic attacks don't get better, recommend seeing a psychiatrist/therapist. Medication can help with debilitating panic attacks. Been on lexapro for 5 years and has helped me thru dark shit. It's a combo of finding what works best for you and getting more/less help depending on your needs! It usually requires a combo of methods meaning meditation, yoga, exercise, etc.

Lots of good advice above. The most effective self care for you will vary - for a lot of us,as mentioned, it's rooted in getting sleep and exercise. Also congratulate yourself - your pulled off something big and hard for yourself. Go you.

All the above, and also power posing. It helps to physically stop panic as you aren't scrunched up. Act in control = feel in control. Exercise works the same way, associates the physical symptoms ( raised heart rate - breathless ) with exercise not panic.

Also, gently, sounds like you have made lots of big changes in your life recently. Are there certain times or situations they seem to happen? Keep a little diary. Have you got enough of a support network? Have you stopped a good habit or hobby that you used to do? Are you missing old home comforts? Are you eating well? Are you having enough down time? You might find some little patterns to help. Finally if any of these sound familiar: if you lose weight quickly, take no pleasure in things that you normally enjoy, find yourself being more 'sensitive' or 'reactive', start making excuses to avoid specific scenarios, or wake up feeling like you can't, as opposed to don't want, to go to work, please, speak to a doctor or helpline xxx These things can sneak up on you xxx

^This! I have a couple meditation apps too and a lot of people I know use them on their commute every day. Congrats on the move also. Big changes can be hard on a lot of us with anxiety but almost always lead to better things 🙏

Also plenty of sleep and avoid self-medication. See if you can find a therapist in your network stat so you can get regular appts or Betterhelp is a good online alternative.

Ah, also seen you were on Citalopram. I have Setraline which is better for panic attacks generally and I found it had way way less side effects for me (Citalopram made me sea sick). Also if you are weaning, the process of coming off can make them happen as you 'level out'. Gotta take that slow, and sounds like you have a lot going on x

@juniorstrategist I've been on citalopram for 7 yrs and was working on weening off of it but I may have to decide to stay on it if my anxiety doesn't improve

How difficult is the egg thaw, fertilization, transfer process? If we are going to an out of state clinic, will we need to be at that location long or is it pretty easy (just a few days)? And does it take multiple trips? Just seeing if it’s better stay local vs go out of state for egg freezing. Do we bill for standby time? It’s Sunday at 2 and a supervisor tells you a doc is coming any moment and that you need to revise to get out in time. Whether you had plans or not you’re at your computer now. Doc comes in at 3:30 and you get it out at 4:30. Do you bill the extra 1.5 where you were chilling by the comp waiting?

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

My investments below:
* Elss funds - 2 (total 1.5L annually)
* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L
* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Left NYC and started a new job in a small city, but feeling like leaving NYC was the wrong choice for many reasons. Should I stick out the new job/city for at least a year?

I find that daily exercise severely diminishes depressive symptoms, yet my job often prevents me from working out. Would outing myself to HR under ADA read as a cop out, or is this a valid use case?

I have a phobia of deep water and of driving. Not sure if they are related, but I think it’s related to not trusting myself...like I don’t trust my body to save myself if I’m drowning and I don’t trust myself to not make a mistake while driving.
