Since when is being scared for ones safety a buzzkill? I was 12 when I lived in New York during 9/11 (and my dad worked in manhattan and I didn't hear from him for hours) and 18 when i lived through hurricane Wilma in Miami (literally my second year living in south Florida). DD1 if you're a veteran then thanks for your service but why do you feel the need to put down those of us who are suffering through a hurricane? No one judged you for your decision so not sure why you're judging south floridians for ours. And for those asking why we're staying.. tomorrow morning I'm driving to my parents house who live 30 miles inland where it *should* be safe. They have according shutters so my husband and I feel confident we will be safe and able to help my parents should any issues arise. So it's not like we are relying on anyone else. Truly unbelievable how those who are nowhere near this catastrophe feel justified to judge our situation and claim we're not prepared. We are boarded up and prepared, stop sending your negative vibes. We're doing the best we can.

PWC3, all of us are concerned about the hurricanes and we are thinking about everyone impacted. I hope you and your family are safe and your preparations will be sufficient for this scary storm. I am proud of our firm's response as I saw our leaders working to check on everyone one of our employees in Houston and Florida and make sure they were safe. I also know a significant donation went to the Red Cross and are likely sponsoring a team of staff to go help with recovery efforts in Houston where we have an office.
