Friend runs a company and hired a VP of Sales to help grow the business. Guy got some relocation $ and was supposed to start 2 months ago. Ever since he said his kid had an accident and from that point on kept pushing the start date back claiming he has to do something related to the accident. He hasn’t sent any proof to HR, has been requested twice claims he will but then doesn’t. And has pushed his start date back half a dozen times. How should I advice him to proceed?

I don't want to get vaccinated. I have debilitating anxiety, asthma, severe allergies to everything under the sun and afraid of a reaction. I have recently recovered from Covid too. I hate how ostracized society friends work everything is making me feel about this decision, which I know is only an inevitability at this point because my family is overseas and I can't not see them for the rest of my life. Anyone else in the same boat as me? PS. If ur here to bash on me keep it moving.

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls

Anyone else tire of the “plant mom” and “dog dad” me too conversation? It seems to be more frequent. For example, company says, “Parents, please share pictures of working from home with your kids during Covid” for a diversity and inclusion project. Undoubtedly someone responds, “what about my plant babies? 🤣”. I don’t want sympathy but I find it childish. Just give us the courtesy of understanding that plants and pets are not the same.
