I have definitely let people slide with MULTIPLE simple math errors. I wouldn’t worry just yet!

like

Oh shoot - they told you already? Sorry OP. What was the math?

Are you me? Had the same experience today. Behavioral went great and the case they gave me was one I literally practiced yesterday. I still managed to find a way to mess it up

Update: I’m moving on to the next round despite not feeling confident about my case. So there is hope for you also!

Well it was like: yes your approach is correct but you made a simple math mistake here. Haven’t heard back yet but definitely felt the vibe cool down after that in the interview.... time to really practice for all kinds of cases

Echoing what EY2 said. I was told in an interview with a senior partner (market lead) that I was “terrible at maths”. Still got hired because I had used the right approach. Good luck OP!

I wouldn’t worry just yet. What’s the role?

Send a Followup email.

thanks everyone - I'm feeling better; did send a follow-up email too so gonna carry on :)

Would it be difficult to get a job in IA if most of my experience has been auditing private non-404 asset mgmt funds? I really enjoy process walkthroughs when I have them though. Also, does title matter that much in IA? I’m a manager now, but based on job descriptions it looks like I might have to go for a senior auditor role because audit manager roles generally call for 8+ years from what I’m seeing. Can title be negotiated?

For context. Manager/Senior Manager (promo soon). ~10 YOE. MBA.

Can anyone explain the value of a recruiter if you are consistently locating and sending them relevant job postings?
