What advice would you give your 25-year-old self?

Hi, I am a clinical pharmacist looking at going into healthcare consulting, however I’m struggling on how to make the transfer. I know I have the transferable skills, however I’m struggling to sell my skills when I’m up against people who have had previous consulting experience. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I started at Capgemini a few months ago in SAP through campus hire. Its pretty fun and enjoy my coworkers thus far. However, my goal is to go into healthcare consulting. Dream is to make America's health system better by learning about various health systems around the world as a consultant 1) how do I achieve my dream before I start a family. 2) how can I best transition out of SAP into healthcare - thinking MBB can offer global consulting roles. What would you do? If you like the company and people you work with, but you're underpaid and there is no budget for a raise. Little about me, I work for a tech company, for almost a year (healthcare) with 17 years of HR experience. I have one HR Gen reporting to me. I basically do everything from talent acquisition, employee retention, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, HRIS, compensation, benefits, contract negotiations, compliance, D&I, T&D, PEO, etc...

I, a childless woman who does not plan to have kids, am jealous of the parental leave parents get to take from work from choosing to have a child (a big life event). I 100% understand that they are working in a different way by taking care of the baby and being deliriously worn out in the process, but it makes me sort of jealous that unless I have a kid there is no life event that I can take ~3 months away from work to focus on and enjoy, plus have my hours prorated and a job to come back to.
