Folks at FAANG, how doable is moving from Big 4 consulting to FAANG? Are consultants looked down upon or will it not matter as long as you have the tech skills?

I'm going to speak this into existence. I am a staff 2 (like the 2 matters). I want to make it to manager because I heard it comes with more flexibility. But then I don't ever want to move up after that at B4. Is that okay, or will I be shamed for not having ambition? Or will I even get coached out so someone else get promoted?

Do you PWC tax will continue to thrive even after the re-branding/re-org? where now there is no tax service line. They have trust and consulting. Majority of the TAX sits in consulting. While i personally believe this is way to go for the future, pretty bold move from a big-4 to do so. What does others think about this?

For senior managers, what made you stay at big 4 audit. I'm on the verge of resigning because I really don't like this job. I don't have the interest to listen to client's take about their financials or their business or any of their issues. I don't like having to resolve pointless spelling and gramatical comments by partners or going through the same finanacial statement more than 5 times. I hatr having to resolve issues caused by associates or their performance issues. Continued...
