Marsh & McLennan I am moving 2 hours from my office. My manager says i have to come 2 days to office. When i come to the office its only me and couple of other people. No one seems to care about coming to office. When i asked manager if i can work remote i was told that its for my career development. Can you guys tell in Canada which companies are offering remote opportunities?

Anyone at Deloitte know how to view utilization?
I heard Accenture pays more than McKinsey

Make a green choice. Stay out of my room.
$5 per night. You work for Deloitte. If you can’t spare $5 a day, you’re savage
I withdraw about 100$ of ones every 1 -1.5 months. I do get stares at the bank
I leave a tip every morning for housekeeping - usually a couple of dollars. Granted I don't travel too much. I never even thought about needing to tip hotel housekeeping until I read this. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/30/business/hotel-housekeeper-tipping.html
$5 every night or $20 when I check out
Yes, if i am am staying at the same hotel for months. Take care of the hotel staff and they'll take care of u
I usually leave the “green choice” tag out and a couple of bucks in case they miss it. $5 when I check out.
The few times I forgot cash I’ve asked the front desk to add the housekeeping tip on my credit card when I check out and they were happy to.
Luckily there is usually an ATM near/inside the hotels I stay. I would rather tip housekeping over waiters, yet most folks don’t.
I do $2/night and expense it. If I do green choice (usually do) then I just leave one night's tip when I check out.
@D1 you carry cash most of the time?
Big question is if you do Green Choice or not?
When i was in consulting, I did green choice - so team never came into my room. If I extended the stay, would give $5/night they did actually clean the room.
Although founded in Europe, tipping has been bastardized in the US and needs to go away. Like McDonald’s, Bay Watch, and other forms of bad culture, it’s unfortunately spreading around the world like mold...

@google it depends on what minimum wage is at their location. It also depends on if they're enjoyed directly through the hotel chain or via a third party service. The argument my best friend made was this "most of the hotel housekeeping service is made of up immigrants who support not only their families here but also need to provide financial support to their families overseas. Those tips help make up for lost income due to sick days"
Nice planning on most weeks that you cannot get cash to leave tips. Next time you call house keeping they will have an internal evaluation “Oh this is that 🤷🏽♂️ who never leaves a tip. Let’s wait for the next reminder"
Yes - I leave around $4-5 a day and although my room is barely messy, I let them clean it.
Here’s why - housekeeping folks are paid by the hour and they need rooms to clean for them to be paid. You are not doing a favor by leaving a DND sign but actually depriving them of their meagre hourly wage. Also, we can expense tips/gratuity. It wouldn’t take you a few mins every week to withdraw money from the atm

Is there any way to add the tip to bill at the end?
5/night. I learned this before I entered consulting through a good friend who worked for one of the hotel chains and would regularly give me friends and family discounts. He casually asked me how much I tipped the cleaning staff and I responded with maybe two to five bucks at the end and he gave me a 10 min lecture about how much they really don't make then I started tipping them every day.
@SC1: how much are they making? how does it compare to minimum wage?
