I am currently a licensed banker on the retail side of banking looking to get into portfolio management or equity research. Currently holding SIE, Series 6, 63 and Life insurance. I have a degree in finance and studying to take the CFA. Any tips for the transition? I did not go to a target school and I’m mostly concerned with my lack of experience in the industry. I am also working in office, how do people juggle interviews and work?

Heres my experience (based in Melbourne, Aus)
- 1 year grad project engineer
- 1 year grad product deisgner/engineer
- 6 months quality engineer
- 1.5 years mechanical engineer (consulting)
What salary do you think I currently should be on? Or should I ask at an interview?
I have an offer with Accenture in hand..and I had confirmed my decision of joining with the recruitment team when they asked again. Now I have got a different offer and thinking to join there. Accenture has been sending onboarding related mails. Should I inform them regarding my change of decision over mail. Will it cause any issue??
I went to an AD in Paris to buy Girard Perregaux Classic Laureato and they literally said they have 2 years wait for it 🤯! I’m so shocked!!! Didn’t know there were so many GP fans and more importantly that there is a supply issue with them as well! I’m from Chicago, US; so wanted to buy it in EU as no GP ADs in the US (+ cheaper by approx €1.5K)
For those in smaller high growth tech companies, where do you turn for resources on org development, engagement, trends, etc.? I’m moving from a large tech org to a a 150 person company. SHRM does not seem relevant at all. Podcasts, social media followings, etc?

Gym, work, hour break for dinner, study until you are ready to sleep. Did that for 3/4 and it sucked...gave myself Fri/sat/sun nights off (~5pm)
Any tips on studying for AUD? Heavily tested items? I feel like FAR was much easier to understand, even if so much info. For AUD it’s gets discouraging when you understand a concept to its fullest and still don’t get the right answer. All advice appreciated!
Passed three exams and BEC is left. I was so inspired but than federal busy season came and I feel empty and exhausted. Push my exam to the day after thanks giving. How to get back my motivation? I feel extremely lazy about this exam now
I have my last exam (FAR) on Monday and I am beyond burned out. I still have to do the last 3 becker sections (NFP & Gov Accounting Parts 1, 2, & 3) on top of reviewing everything else. Any tips of things I should review the most? I have been studying the past month but not super intense because I am so burned out… I passed the other 3 by using the cram method in 2 weeks for REG, 1 week for AUD, and 2 weeks for BEC. Is it possible to cram for FAR and be ok?

Just got back my FAR results, first time I took it and I got a 70, this is my first CPA test and I see I have an option for review, is the any chance for some real change?
How do you overcome a failed retake? Emotionally and study wise? What changes do you make to make sure you pass on the 3rd try?
