By not having the nanny come over and possibly infect our family or vice versa. As long we’re getting paid, so will she.

There have been a few posts already. Consensus (of those who posted l) was a mix of:
- Paid leave for nanny
- Nanny moved in with family

We have a cleaning lady coming every other week, she washes hands immediately upon coming to the house, leaves off shoes etc. she’s part of our solution to keep everything clean.

We had to have someone else in the house the other day to check on hvac. They wore single use shoe covers, mask, and gloves.

Our nanny is still coming to work. She is not seeing anyone aside from her husband who is temporarily home bound. If things got crazy she’s willing to stay with us. Spouse is still working outside the home, their clothes go immediately into the wash upon returning home. Everyone is washing hands / wiping down with Lysol more frequently than before.

I consider spouse to be the weak link health wise, not the nanny, for what it’s worth.

Engineering pro tip: Keep a completed ticket in your back pocket at the beginning of the week. Don't submit a PR for it until the end of the week. That way you can appear productive while doing nothing on a Friday.

Tesla owners, I am contemplating an M3, and have a few targeted questions:
1. How is the experience driving in East Coast winters and on slippery roads? How is the battery power drain in winters?
2. If you cannot install the charging station, how did you find the experience with regular charging? I live in a condo so I cannot install.
3. What are your thoughts on service for longer drives / rural areas and how does the lack of spare tire affect your decision?
Please advise on other aspects.

I recently accepted a job offer at another company and am leaving my current on good terms in 3 weeks. There is an outing scheduled for tomorrow and I gave my boss notice already that I will be leaving. The job was virtual and I worked there for about a year, never really developed strong connections with anybody on the team so I wasn’t planning on going tomorrow. Do you think you would back out of the outing if it were you?

DHG Furloughs and Pay-Cuts I find it very interesting that DHG still has a lot of people in furlough and everyone took a pay cut. However, I see they are still hiring and doing internship programs. I think they should use those funds to bring people back from furlough and increase the salaries to what they were

For the past few months, people have been praising police officers and other front line workers. But now, a sudden turn of events.

There is a problem, but let’s not criminalize the heroic police officers for the racist acts of some individuals. The best solution, in my opinion, is that we need to specify the problem and resolve it by appropriate action on those individuals. That officer needs to be tried in court for murder to provide justice for what he did. But let’s not punish every officer.

Is it a thing now for senior leaders to read off a script when presenting in front of an audience? I was always thought to write down main ideas but not word for word exactly what you’re going to say in each slide. Any time I see someone do this that’s supposed to be a senior leader I think less of them. Dude if you can’t give a speech without the script in front of your face then you don’t deserve your title/salary. I can read your script and look at your slides, where’s your value added?

So, I've been thinking alot and did quite some research but would really love some insight (Accounting vs Fund Accountant)
As a newbie to accounting (completed my graduation and am currently halfway through ACCA), I've worked 3 years in accounting and account operations (AR, AP, Reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc) and wanted to check out the other side of the coin in Finance.

I recently came across a role of Fund Accountant and wanted to really know what the day to day work looks like

So boomers not only managed to tank the economy with major recessions in the 90s, early 2000s, 2007-2009, and 2020, but they have destroyed the environment not only for GenX, Millenials, & Gen Z, but for our children and grand children.

It’s almost like their approach to pretty much everything was totally wrong.

I have covid, with a fever over 100 for the last 6 days. I’m frustrated that my spouse has been working late and doesn’t check in on me at all during the day to see how I am or if I could use help. It feels like I’m struggling through the virus on my own. I brought it up with her this evening and she got defensive and put it back on me. Any advice on how to proceed? She said I should ask for what I need, which Is fair. But I also feel like I shouldn’t have to. When she’s sick, I’m proactive.
