Folks, I just got promoted and joined this group. How should I approach selling consulting services? I am delivering services and not had much success farming given the client environment. How can I start hunting? Any steps or tried-out resources I can leverage? Help out a fella trying to do his job better 🙏

Ask well thought out questions that build curiosity and then interest. Use that motivation to develop urgency. These questions are centered around your solution and will highlight the features and benefits that should treat the symptoms of your prospect's problem. That is how I develop a pursuit.

With services - it is vital that you sell the value. You must demonstrate how the prospect’s life is made so much easier - they should feel like they can’t live without your services. As far as “hunting” - start with the basics... research your prospects, qualify and prioritize, then it’s all about the grind... put in the work that got you the promotion in the first place. Good luck.

I often think about the client/agency as very similar to going to a restaurant. The agency beunf restaurant. Some customers want to pick something off the dollar menu. Others a gourmet meal.

Would you pick WLB over interest? First project here, not interested at all in the topic and not really caring for it but the WLB is amazing and the clients are super nice. 8 hr days, never any weekend work, manager is always supportive. But I have zero interest in this work and scared to move to something with worse WLB.

Started at a new firm 3 months ago, first two months was swamped staffed on a huge deal, (my only file) did my hours everything good. July: deal was supposed to close did not due to regulatory stuff but my work stream is done and over and am now really really slow, asked for work to people I had worked with to help them close - nothing, staffed on a new deal , client on vacation so everything is on stand by. I’m so anxious about my 485 case. The RFE for medical records have been received since March 2021 and there has been no update since then. Hello, we recently built out a technology team at our company. They are a phenomenal team with great work flow, rapport and collaboration however, most are junior in their career which can make it difficult for our senior lead to step away. They all receive professional dev allowances so we would like to work toward identifying possible future leads and laying out a growth plan. Do any of you have best practices, tips or resources in doing this specifically for tech talent?
