I often see posts about people getting 350K exit or 450K or more in FAANG. Are those strategy folks from Big 4 or are there cyber folks too getting these exits ? I am making close to 200k as M3 in cyber . Not able to anything that would pay more than this in non-consulting ? What roles should I target ?
Can you please help me choose between these 2 offers? 1. Indium- 16 base+2JB(no variable) Have to work as data engineer contractor in uber india but with what the HM explained, it sounds like support role. 2. Swiggy- 16.5 fixed (no variable) Business Analyst
Kind of a different question ... for those who made the move to PE, any questions or things you wish you would’ve asked / known when you were interviewing that you know now working in the role?
What shall I choose and why? IBM 22.5 LPA Fixed + 0-10 % Variable PWC SDC 23 LAP Fixed + 0-17% Variable Oracle Consulting 25 LPA Fixed + 0-10% Variable Role is almost same in all three. Which has better OnSite opportunities outside india?

If I moved from EY Business Consulting to AlixPartners Enterprise Improvement would my exit opportunities 5+ down the road be much different? AlixPartners is appealing because of the smaller firm feel, more focused line of work, and substantially better pay. I am being siloed into a work stream I don’t care for at EY and pay raises/bonuses have been below par compared to what I am hearing from contacts at other firms.
Been on the bench for 2 weeks. Internal strategy role for a year was offered to me. Should I take it?
Hi. I have a question. In a world where COVID is under control, how would you feel if your companies went back to being fully in the office? But maybe others were adopting a hybrid model- some days remote, some days in the office. Would it make you want to work elsewhere? How important is being able to work remote (at a location of your choice, not at client /travelling) a few days a week to your job satisfaction?
Is it fair to ask for the sign-up bonus or extra equity in lieu of the 2021 bonus ($25K), unvested RSUs ($20k), and educational reimbursement I will need to repay ($24K) if I change jobs before the year end? It’s for a new manager role in the industry and I don’t want to sound like a clown asking for a $70K sign up on the $160K base comp…
Guy behind me in the group 1 line to board the plane - "are you group 1?" - no asshole, I'm just standing here to be a total inconvenience to you. STFU and go to your exit row seat.

Hi Greg - Two questions. 1.What life lessons would you give to those who want to stick to consulting in the long run? 2.Same Q but for those who want to exit + what is the optimal role to quit Thanks
@Accenture sharks: I am currently in the process of interviewing for a Consultant role in Finance Transformation in NYC. What should I negotiate for in terms of salary? Any other advice on the interview process? Honestly, from how much I make right now, it feels wrong to negotiate up to an increase of more than double.

Does anyone have a SO who doesn’t quite get the whole remote work thing? My SO sees nice weather outside and wants to leave in the middle of the day to grill or get outside, and gets frustrated when I say I need to stay on the computer. I don’t have crazy amounts of work, but I do have a manager who needs to know the hours I work every day. Does anyone else have a partner like this? If so, what do you tell them?
What are some signs to help evaluate the actual WLB at a company? Seems harder now that everything is remote

Had a discussion with my father that he believes relationships are only out of convenience; over time no one actually wants to be married. Example: someone to cook for you, clean while you’re busy working, etc. Women, do you feel this as well? What is convenient for you?

How’s the consulting work life balance at Big 4 in Europe Do folks work more than 45 hours through the week and is it normal to have to work on weekends?

In house lawyers for global companies: do you expect your international travel to rebound - ever? I am at a firm where I practice in government enforcement and investigations, and I always saw myself going in house to do this work and travel abroad frequently. Are those days gone because of zoom?
I’m a tech consultant working in the SAP practice. I’m a second year associate. I have decided that I don’t like the culture of consulting - work more hours, always add more work and responsibility to your plate, etc. I would like to work a job that is more 9-5 that doesn’t expect you to work in so many different things at once. What industry roles should I be applying to? Is leaving after 1.5 years too soon?
