Life’s much happier at 2.5LPA than 2.5LPM.
Can someone help me understand the hierarchy of product management roles at Microsoft ? I've seen Product Manager -2, Product Manager -II, Senior Product Manager roles on job portals.
What's the hierarchy for these roles and are there other Product Management roles within Microsoft? Any insights will be really helpful.

1) better pay
2) better WLB
3) knew I did not have the work ethic to get past manager in consulting
Lyft 1- what’s the role you jumped to?
Hated consulting. Just seemed entirely based on lackluster data manipulation. Culture was very pompous and privileged. If you’re able to exit to a company that appreciates the consulting skillset then the pay should be comparable or better from an hourly standpoint. Work life balance leads to a much better quality of life. No longer have the constant anxiety associated with consulting

Wanted to take a risk (joined a startup) while the window was still open
I love it and haven’t looked back.
Very subjective in terms of the ‘window’, but I felt it was more possible to join a company with a higher risk/reward before getting married, having kids, etc.
Everyone saying better pay, how have the raises been? I only ask because industry jobs for my level have salaries much below my Comp at a boutique. If you leave early to industry, acceleration of pay will likely decrease but the WLB should make up for it. Also in HCOL city FWIW.

Yup jumped for 30% bump, and will probably only expect 10-15% raises each promo, much less than consulting.
Was a calculated decision on my end.
