I signed up for an industry leadership role last year. It's much more difficult than I had presumed. The firm expects me to influence partners across competencies to deliver growth. Obviously the partners have their own priorities. I'm just figuring out how tough it is to be a leader without authority. I'm learning the ropes. Any insights from your similar journey would be useful. (Pls don't extol the virtues of being a line partner. I won't go back without fighting hard).

I’m sure this won’t come across well but I have to say it… my husband and I make good money (about $600k combined) and are grateful for it but these Biden tax increases are going to kill us. The truly rich don’t get hit hard meanwhile it sucks to be an upper middle class family. No matter how much I make somehow my take home seems to keep going down.
