I was offered a position through a recruiter and the company is now doing a background check. I haven’t received a written offer letter or started any paperwork.

After receiving the offer I turned down a final interview with another company. I’ve also been invited to another interview with someone else.

I don’t feel comfortable continuously turning down interviews if I don’t have a written offer or started any paperwork. I want to email HR about the process but what should I say?

Leader said they didn’t have time to review a doc so I set up a meeting with no agenda so they could review 😂😂

Since I’ve passed 5 years on my F1 visa - I’m considered a resident alien for tax purposes. But since I’m still working on OPT and don’t pass the substantial presence test - am I exempt from FICA taxes?

I am a recently naturalized US citizen. I had Global Entry based on my green card and I read that I need to get an appointment to to get my file updated in the GOES/TTP system at an enrollment center. Problem is, I don’t see a way to set up this kind of appointment? Anyone have any experience with this? I saw threads online Pre-COVID where people just walked in but the office closest to me strictly says no to walk-ins.

I have recently signed an offer with a company and they filed my H1-B transfer case with USCIS. However, I have just received a better offer that I want to accept with another company. Can I still sign the new offer and tell the first company to “drop” the filing?

I went to India for Visa stamping and my Visa was issued last Thursday. However, vfs hasn’t returned my passport since and the status keeps showing ‘Origination Scan’. Their customer service is barely a service at all. They say they have no info on the passport. Anyone been through a similar delay in receiving passport after visa issuance and anything you can do about this?

I have an EAD/AP card through an EB-3 application, filed by my previous employer in Dec 2020. So, well past the 180 day mark and I changed jobs on H1B without using my EAD.
Can PwC inter file an EB-2 application or will they have to start from the PERM stage because I changed employers?
