Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship? Speaking from experience, life is much better once you leave whether in industry or a number of other firms. For industry, if you have an advanced degree then you can start looking as early as ~8 months. If you don’t then I’d say prob close to 1.5 years. The process takes time. For other consulting firms as early as 6 months but definitely by 1 year its fair game to explore other firms. This process is a pretty fast turnaround as they are effectively poaching you. Focus on applying broadly and looking for a better role, rather than investing time into “optimizing” your CV experience. One more title bump or not won’t make/break your exit opportunity. While WFH is a factor, that’s far from the only reason your experience is not what you’re likely hoping for. I wouldn’t place your hopes into the return to office.

Not CV, but at a similar firm with similar thoughts, happy to chat over DM

If I may ask- why did you leave CV?

This. With so many people leaving, I feel like I’m just expected to know how to carry a team even though I’m barely grasping some concepts myself. It’s anxiety inducing when PLs aren’t as available or appear frustrated that you don’t know what you’re doing, definitely demotivating.

Do people who have left feel like they wouldn't have joined clearview at all knowing what they did, or just that they would be planning on exiting quickly and mitigating burn out until then. What else would you have done differently?

Would have reneged for a different offer, nevertheless less I learned a lot and am now overly meticulous, critical, foregoing of WLB with a perfectionistic mentality (to the point that we are often deemed strong performers at post-exit places) as well as can make pretty slides. So I guess it was not in vain.

Honestly want to know if I am being unreasonable. My husband and I have worked f rom home since the start of the pandemic. Two kids 100% remote until two weeks ago when school started back up. I had to stop my work at 12:30pm every week day to make lunch for the kids and also made some for my husband to took it to his office nook. I typically don’t have time to stop and eat myself since I’m down at minimum those 30 minutes and I work in a bedroom so the smell of food in there is not desired…

I currently WFH. However I expect that we will return to the office by summer or fall. I live 1.5 miles away from work, but I don’t have a car. I want to avoid buying a car if possible. What are the best ways to get to work. I live in the city so biking is a little too dangerous for me. Any ideas?

I know everyone will just tell me to calm down but I started a month ago and am on the bench. Feels like the people I started with were picked up. Do all the work given to me, pass my tests, follow up with people to look to get on an engagement. I feel like Im doing fine but WFH I feel very lost and alone as to what I’m supposed to be doing. Doesn’t help that a lot of people are in the south and offline with the snow. Any guidance as to what a path forward should be to learn to relax?
