I’m a woman who got the JJ shot weeks ago. Still alive. Just keep the appointment and get it, you’ll be immune faster than your friends. Why are the recommending you cancel?

Agreed!
My young female family member has a history of stroke and got the shot before they shut it down. She was fine. She’s a huge advocate of getting the shot because she understands math.
Youre more likely to get struck by lightening twice then have a blood issue from j & j. All the hoopla is statistical illiteracy
If you were a woman, in an abundance of caution I’d tell a friend not to get it. As a man, i think youll be fine

JnJ shot received. No side effects at all except pt for excessive hunger that evening.
Good for you!
There seems to be some research that points to Pfizer / moderna being better protection against the variants. Please no one jump on me I’m not trying to start any kind of debate. Just trying to help OP with what I’ve heard.
I have the J&J, there's nothing wrong with it. It's easy to panic yourself about the differential in reported effectiveness vs Pfizer/Moderna but in reality it's comparing apples to oranges as far as lab testing and methodology go
I definitely was nervous about J&J since they paused it 2 days after I got it, but the more I talk to family and friends in healthcare the better I feel about it. I feel fine personally, and it was definitely nice to just have the one shot.
If you’re a woman, who was too scared to use birth control for fear of blood clots, then I’d tell you the risk of JnJ was 100 times less than that
Am male and had the J&J three weeks ago. Besides side effects a few hours after the getting the shot, I am completely fine. Do recommend going ahead with it.
Just depends where you live. If it’s hard to track down shots still, you should go with what can give you protection sooner.
Here in NYC, you can walk in without an appointment at any city run location and get Moderna or Pfizer. They are like 20% more effective. We have enough of them for all American adults. JnJ is great, too, and any shot is better than no shot, but if you CAN swap to something marginally better I’d put the question more as why WOULDN’T you?

We cool 😉
Do what you feel is good for you!
