So, we haven’t witnessed a vaccinated person transmitting the virus to another person. But, we have confirmed vaccinated ppl have conditions that would enable transmission. Are we supposed to be waiting for another piece of data, or is that enough to say we ought to err on the side of caution?

Pwc2, no, OP’s premise is that (1) there is no need for caution, and (2) even if there were a need for caution, we should wait on better data.
Of course, none of the responses directly state this. They just keep going back to the idea that the study is bunk and not applicable—which completely blows past the question you are asking about exercising caution.
My understanding is that this new data comes from India, and in particular studies of infected, vaccinated individuals who didn’t receive one of the US-EUA vaccines.
My take is that it’s concerning but shouldn’t be driving policy until either the results are replicated with US vaccines or we discover that delta-infected vaccinated individuals in the US have similar viral loads as earlier variants, in which case there’s less to worry about.
I’m not opposed to restoring mask mandates in areas with substantial-high spread (>50 cases/100,000 people), but bringing them back wholesale everywhere, in my opinion, undermines the case for vaccinations with the hesitant, unless coupled with firmer efforts to boost vaccination rates such as mandates for schools, government employees, etc.

If the actions needed to err on the side of caution were onerous, expensive, or disruptive, then it may need more data to support decision making. Wearing a mask is hardly onerous or expensive and is only disruptive when eating or drinking for the overwhelming majority of people. (I can only think of deaf people who lip read and very small children as being significantly disrupted by this but am open to opinions). Beyond what seems like an apparently child-like rebellious streak against an administration that is trying to reduce the spread of a serious disease, I fail to see why wearing a mask gets people so wound up.
Omg, this thread is insufferable.
What point are you trying to make here?

Maybe that Dems don’t care about science and data as much as they claim to. Party of science 😂🤣

Is $100 enough to bribe people to take the shot?
I think this is a VERY good question. A family with a parent and three teens could bring in $400, which is not insignificant. I think it is highly worth trying.

OP, your argument amounts to the difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning. Yes, there are differences, but the key point is that caution is required.
So does the news out of Cape Cod shift anyone’s perspective who was indicating skepticism about new mask recommendations? Asking sincerely.
