Following up on the earlier thread about going to a restaurant or bar in NYC by yourself- did anyone end up doing this? How did it go? I’m in town this weekend and want to do it

I missed the earlier thread but do this almost daily. It’s NBD! Bring a book or magazine, for fallback company. 😉

I love seeing movies by myself. Bonus points if it’s a weekday matinee and you have the place to yourself. Also if you go somewhere with in-seat food and drinks, would definitely check that box you’re looking for. But plenty of places have solid concessions too

I got lucky! The place was EMPTY and I enjoyed a large meal while peacefully swiping on hinge

Has anyone ever done this during brunch hours or Saturday night when there could be a lot of people though? I’m nervous. I want to go to a sports bar with good fried food
