I just got offered a job with a firm that has billable hour requirements. I’ve never had had billable hours. Is is appropriate to ask what the billable requirements are? GHIV update/retro: I was incorrectly too bullish the past 2 weeks (held 3k+ calls) and I increased my risk when I should have decreased it. Nonetheless those who took my low-risk strategy with $10 calls should still be up 100%+. The positive catalyst of the Tuesday webinar did not materialize because CEO was wary to influence stock price. Now the earnings report - which I am still very bullish on - is coming early February (merger is next week). GHIV still takes up most of my portfolio.

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
