Over the last few months my job work load has increased to helping more teams and I have been brought on to be a major voice on a product transition (I am one of three non managers helping make the decision and have more responsibility on the project then half the managers. The company is global (30+ teams)) and I can see that it will increase over the next months. The company I work for is known for not promoting internally easy. I got written up due to a millennial aged co-worker whose feelings I accidentally hurt during a meeting. I didn’t call the person any derogatory names or shout or do anything out of the ordinary. I just pointed out some strategic errors that would have effected the deliverables. I was told by my supervisor that people of this persons age don’t respond well to criticism and that I need to find another way to communicate when they’ve failed to complete a task properly. Anyone have any suggestions?

People realize the recession is only just starting right? So far we have only had a few rate rises, with many more to come. Stocks are down a little, but only just barely into bear territory. Major companies will be reporting large losses soon, but that hasn't happened yet, and the market will react to that.

No major companies have begun large layoffs yet, either, so far we are only seeing a few minor hiring freezes. And of course we haven't seen bankruptcies yet, but they are surely coming.

New to consulting. Just attending meetings, where ppl are talking and I just listen . Feels like I am not talking much or contributing any value. Being senior associate this is bothering me. Help plz😞

If I were to be laid off, I'd stand to receive ~2400 / month for 26wks in unemployment if you don't include the CARES ACT increase. Really my only fixed expense is rent at 1350 + utilities. Immoral
