For an Amazon onsite, is it recommended to use distinct stories for different Leadership Principles if the interviewers are different? (I.e. do they compare responses after the fact?)

I was told that they do, and if you get suspiciously similar questions from interviewers, it could be because they didn’t like your first answer and want to probe more deeply

Have 5 or more and be able to apply them. If you reuse the same sfory in each, it will come out during your debrief.

I would recommend having 2-3 stories for each LP your recruiter said to focus on. Honestly, the more the better. During my on-site, I ran out of stories despite thinking I had enough.

Nice! 3 stories for 14 LPs very effecient

I got rejected twice. Make sure you have solid stories. They asked me same questions differently multiple times to probe deeper

Why don't more (white collar) Americans take breaks in-between jobs? Like a month or two summer break. Is this mindset that you need to work all the time a vestige from back when people would work at the same company for 40 years until they die?

What is Texas' appeal? Cons: Unpleasant weather, lacks natural beauty. Pros: LCOL; no state taxes. That makes it like any other place. Why such a die hard fan base? Immigrant here, genuinely curious.

Just saw a peer, who didn't really do any great work (average / middling at best, careless with lack of attention to detail at worst) when we were on the same team, from my Big 4 firm exit to Apple. Happy for him but just a reminder that getting into good companies is just about how well you can bs.
