Recently my company has added a new component in salary which has increased overall CTC of every employee.

We've not received any revised salary breakup only an official email stating everyone's CTC is increased. Started receiving salary based on the updated CTC.

When trying to make a switch, new firm is asking for revised salary breakup but I've shared the email screenshot along with my salary slips showing my increased salary. But HR said she needs updated salary breakup.

Do I need a new H1B Stamping? I extended my visa last year (new expiration date: 2024 Summer) and got my visa stamped accordingly. Since then, I changed firms and transferred my visa, which now has a different expiration date (i.e 2024 Winter). I honestly don’t know why the date got longer with just a transfer. Anyway, would I need to get my visa stamped again since the date of current i797-A (winter 2024) is different from my previous i797-A/latest visa stamp?

On H1B you can stay outside the country without pay. Has anyone heard about companies or employees going this route instead of layoffs in case there is absolutely no other option but to cut headcount.

7th year of H1b and have I140 PD in June 2020 (Chinese)... getting tired of my current job and want to do a MBA then switch career. Is it still possible? Would I be able to extend my H1b after I graduate say two years later for a new employer, even if the job has completely changed - say from business consultant to a tech manager? Can I still retain my PD if filing for a new Perm?

I got an offer in Microsoft and they filed the H1b transfer petition to USCIS. But, the immigration team filed my petition under regular processing instead of premium. Not sure what’s the reason. Any idea in proceeding further! Thanks.

I know this is a very hypothetical question. What are the chances that US would ban incoming flights from India due to covid? I know they have already done it for China, Europe Schengen countries and few more. Asking because I really wish to visit this year end as its been > 2 years. I have a stamped visa.
