For anyone that has tested during COVID, how safe did you feel during the testing process? I live with someone who is extremely high risk and we have been taking things very seriously - not leaving the house since March and getting groceries delivered. Are any accommodations being offered at all for these scenarios??

Also to answer your question, I don’t think they have additional accommodation besides what A1 mentioned. I asked but no harm calling nasba and ask again though.

Mask for sure all time except when you enter the center and take a break, you will have to show them your mask. They sanitize everything and keep it in a bag which you carry all time (ID, pen and locker key). No longer checks for Glass by themselves, you will have to show it to them and no need to sign once you take the break. Overall I had a good experience with few people in the center. BUT THEY DO NOT MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCE. In NYC the test centers are open for full capacity.

I have had pretty good experience, I explained to the person and apart from them sanitizing the stationery and computer I asked to do it myself again and they allowed that. I feel more comfortable if I’m sanitizing them myself. And the one I’m in practices good social distancing, usually the room can fit 8 people but they are only doing 2-4 now. Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone!

I tested in NH and although I had to wear a mask, the center was at full capacity and I had a guy sneezing next to me. It was fantastic

Since Covid happened, I keep seeing posts about people working longer hours from home than at office. Well has anyone actually achieved the opposite, which is working less hours? You save time on commuting, meaningless meetings, coffee breaks, random questions from coworkers, etc. This question doesn’t apply to parents with young kids.

So I had a some friends who went to Cabo, and when they returned they all(7) took the covid test and came back positive. 5 days later, no one was showing any symptoms so they all went to another clinic and they took the test and they all tested negative. Don’t get me wrong, I wear a mask and take precautions, but when you hear stories like this, you wonder how much of these reported numbers are manipulated or incorrect.

Where is the future home for principled, democratic conservatives? Do we think a new conservative party can build around the likes of Cheney, Romney and Kinzinger? How can they gain critical mass? From rewriting state election laws, to fomenting insurrection, to going to war with public health officials over COVID vaccines, the GQP are irredeemable at this point.

My sister works at a company that is so backward and toxic it scares me. They didn’t have Skype before the pandemic and now use Zoom. She’s trying to get a laptop to WFH with b/c the one that they issued her is from 2005 and is a nightmare to work with, but her boss wants to save money and get her a desktop instead of a laptop b/c they won’t be working from home after COVID. However, he has no problem ordering the newest equipment and WFH himself even before COVID. All I gotta say is toxic.

My husband and I have concert tickets to a big outdoor festival that was cancelled for covid and is now happening in late August. His brothers and some college friends are flying in to stay with us. We just found out we're pregnant and I'll be 9 weeks by concert time. We aren't ready to tell anyone but we can't think how we can ask them to cancel without explaining. We are all vaccinated and are in SF so cases are low, but not zero. Any advice?

Now that the CDC says no masks needed indoors if vaccinated, is anybody concerned what that means for kids under 12? I’m assuming that the honor system isn’t entirely going to work (I.e., some unvaccinated people will go maskless). I don’t want my 5 and 7 year olds around unvaccinated unmasked strangers, but it’s also a bummer to stop taking them places. Not that I was taking them that many places, but the occasional grocery store, shoe store, etc. seems riskier now.
