What does your company offer in the way of fertility benefits? Is there a waiting period for new employees to get said benefits? Thank you!
Best books about product management for a good exit to industry? I already have an MBA and PMP but looking for a refreshed perspective since it’s been years since my formal education. Currently reading “Product Managements Sacred Seven” but it’s geared toward the startup world. I am in healthcare and not looking for a startup role. TIA!!!
Should I be maxing out my 401k if I’m able to? I’m 25 and don’t have an immediate need for cash, aside from wanting to buy a house in the next 5 or so years.
Has anyone attempted to negotiate paternity or maternity leave (either a longer time period or being able to take it without being at the firm for over a year first)? Were you successful? I know this is not usually negotiable but curious to see if others have tried.
I’m in my early 70s. Hanging on to a pretty easy creative job. Any thoughts on where and what to do next?
Hey ladies, I have to vent. I’ve been in a friends with benefits on and off situation with this guy for 10 years. I recently hit him up because we haven’t spoken in a year and I missed him. Long story short, he cheated on his current gf with me. I asked him if he had any regrets. He said he feels bad, but it was worth it. I just don’t understand how he can physically melt in my presence but after all this time doesn’t want to *be* with me
Currently mid twenties, and trying to take financing more seriously and would really appreciate some insight on how to allocate my income into savings! Make about roughly 70k a year (post-tax, no pre-tax contributions). I spent about $3,350 a month (~40k a year on rent, car loan, bills etc), so I have about roughly 30k to save annually. Obviously putting 6k into roth ira, and I need help with insight on how to allocate he remaining 24k between Roth 401k, emergency fund, personal saving, etc.
Did anyone else start a career in PA later in life? I went back to school for a post bacc and started this year as an A1. I was a small business owner throughout my 30s and decided I needed a change, financial security and benefits for my family. I just turned 40 in August and have two young children. Most of the time I’ve felt fine, but there are moments where I just feel so much older than my colleagues. I’d love to hear from others. Thanks!
Opinion on current situation vs new offer? Current situation: Spotify, Boston, Senior Product Analyst, almost 4YOE, 120K TC no signing (now 145K TC due to stock jump), no promo in sight, long hours New Offer: Disney Plus, NYC, Senior Data Analyst, 185TC, signing bonus 10-15K, no 401K match first year, relo package TBD, unsure about promo and hours My initial thoughts: TC is a lot better but lateral move, company brand name takes a hit, applying MBA might be postponed
What are 72 and sunny and droga benefits? Looking for details on 401k like vesting periods, matching etc.
Worked at EY for 4 years. I have a vested pension, they sent me a buyout letter a few years ago that I didn’t take. How do I look up it’s value now? I feel like this is fake money
How much more should someone ask for if a competing firm has less pto (7 days), less 401k match...401k doesnt kick in until 1st yr is over. Initially asked for 140k.
Why do a lot of people on here want to retire in their 40’s? To me it makes sense, to retire by 50. You’re 10-15 years before standard and can enjoy the life. 40’s for me is where I’ll make $$$
Our office isn't mandating people to come in until next year. But I went in and ended up staying until 11pm. Can I request reimbursement for a ride back home? Not sure if I can because the firm hasn't told us we must come in...
If anyone need to book hyatt properties, I would be happy to book it for you with guest of honor. I am a hyatt globalist and you get all the benefits. Dm me if interested!
Just started a new job and after doing some research found out they do not offer a Roth 401k. My choices are limited to a traditional 401k or After-Tax Contributions. After speaking with a friend who’s a CFP, he suggested I contribute only to the After-Tax, but I wanted to validate that advice here. If it helps I’m 24 and my current base is around 110k. Thanks in advance!
I accepted a job from a place my friend works. She got me in and I'd be dropping a title level but making the same $ as my previous role. I accept and 1 day later my #1 on the list came through. better title, pay and benefits. The first company is stoked to have me and everyone is nice. I'm sure on the culture. I reached out to company 2 the week before I accepted this offer and they weren't ready, but now they are. They seem great, but so does everyone when you meet them. What do I do?
What are the Reimbursable Flexible Benefits at PWC India. Have not got the break-up. Would like to know the same.
Under the new Slalom career framework, anyone know the approximate levels and comp for two Technology Delivery Owner roles, one that calls for 5+ YOE and the other for 10+ YOE?
Looks like market is going down again, lost 2k out of my 401k in a week. Do you guys think we’ll hit the bottom soon?

Anyone willing to share their sales leadership incentives based on team goals? What’s the norm here?
Trying to solve client requirements like:
Moms, need some advice. Husband and I have decided to try to get pregnant. I love the thought of having a baby but there is this nagging anxiety about life changing drastically & the thought of how good of a mom I will be. I don’t take well to big changes in life so knowing this is going to be physically & emotionally different is worrying me. Anyone been through this?
Fish….. have discussed this w many ppl and so far have 1/10 as supportive of this idea but no clear feedback about why this idea won’t work.. Would like to present a 5-10 yr NPV of the value I bring to firm (ie my bill rate x hours worked - salary) in order to illustrate why an increase in compensation for me would make sense to them - why wouldn’t it be persuasive!?
Just need to rant: super annoyed with the whole “utilization and billable hours.” We have FTO, which I love but the utilization takes away from it. For 2 weeks I barely was able to make 30 hours, which is awesome because I wasn’t stressed. But my utilization has now dropped, so I have to work extra to “make it up” if I want to take vacations and actually use the holidays the firm has given. GT has like 11 days off for for the holidays/NYE and I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to take that
Any tips for meeting billable targets?
My wife setup an introductory meeting with a T2 strategy firm's managing partner. She doesn't work with him but has a friend who does, which is how this was setup. I'm trying to transition from implementation (10 years) to strategy so I really want to impress. What talking points and questions would you all recommend?
Anyone know the top of the range for senior consultant at EY in their Healthcare practice?
Anyone have a link for interview questions for someone interviewing at a mbb firm from big 4 advisory? If you don't have a link posting a question you think I should be prepared for is appreciated
Is there any way to get a better offer on the SPG AmEx? 25K just seems too low, but I'm also losing free points by waiting...
Thougts on this - I’m an associate in big law real estate transactions team. 8 months in.already feeling swamped and can’t see this going on for the next years as it likely just gets worse. Been interviewing for a smaller firm litigation dep. hours are perfect and pay is manageable. Am I making the right choice or should I stick it out more? No debt issue, as school is paid for, so it’s just a personal preference. Will I regret it?
Anyone hearing about layoffs happening at Deloitte right now? I’ve only seen a few vague posts but my coach set up a check in call out of nowhere this week so
