Anyone worked at multiple FAANG companies? I’m trying to choose between 2 and can’t decide.

Serious question: I’m 25. It seems like over a dozen people I graduated with are now Product Managers at FAANG companies. Yet every time I look at PM job postings at big tech companies, they almost always require 7+ years of experience, 5 at the least. How are so many people getting PM positions 2-3 years out of school? … as someone who has (unsuccessfully) been trying to break into a FAANG company, it’s quite frustrating to see.

Do engineers who switch to management start at M1 at FAANG+ companies regardless of engineering experience, or is it based on total experience? Do they only hire either internally engineers switching or only hire external people if they have management experience? What suggestions do you have for people looking to make the switch? I'm not sure how much longer I want to keep coding.

I'm wondering if anyone moved between MBB firms? Is it at all possible? What was the rationale and impressions?

MM analysts/associates - what are your hours and WLB life? Thinking about making the jump from FDD but want to make sure it’s the right move for me from that perspective. I’ve been working average of 55-60 hour weeks and find it very manageable and am still able to have a life. Don’t work most weekends but I have some and have definitely had a handful of nights working past midnight.

How much does it matter that a home on the market does not have legal bedrooms? Ie the bedrooms are functionally bedrooms, but they have smaller windows / windows can’t open. Would this scare you off as a home buyer?
