Hi Fishers,

43 days has passed in PDP with Timeline for me and there are still no projects avaliable on TMP based on my current skill set. I am upskilling my self as my Home manager asked me but this long period on PDP with Timeline is really making me nervous.
Should I be prepared for the worst and start looking for job change?
Anyone faced such an situation please suggest.
Thanks in Advance!

Any advice on if your specifically assigned practice area stalls due to factors you can’t control (e.g. rising interest rates causing borrowing to stop and your a loan documentation attorney)? Does your firm do anything for yearly work anniversaries? It’s obviously not a big deal but I made it to a year at a firm with high attrition (at least ten associates in our division alone have left in my time here) and have received no acknowledgement of this fact. Nor have I heard anything about a year review. I’d take an atta boy and pat on the back.

Has anyone had luck negotiating a fully remote position for a firm that's hybrid? Firm is the next city over and would be a 2 hour+ commute round trip and I really don't want to do that more than a couple times a month.

I am an associate at a small firm and was licensed last fall. I clerked at this firm through law school, so I knew most of the partners before starting as an attorney full time, except some of the new ones we have acquired since. I have several cases that I am the only responsible attorney on and quite frankly, feel like I have no clue what I’m doing half the time. I ask questions, but feel like I’m being a nuisance if I ask too many. I guess I didn’t expect to be solely (cont. in comments)

How do you tell a partner you are running behind on an assignment? I’m constantly getting assignments to be turned around within a few hours or by the next day (even on weekends).
