Hi..YOE-4 years (Frontend developer)I m strong in html, css, bootstrap, javascript, django. But reactjs i m working for past 1 year and i m not that much confident on react because I don't have that much hands on in reactjs. Bcz in my project they use very basic react project like landing page. So I don't know that much react. Now my question is I got offer in HCL,Capgemini,Cognizant. Can i survive in this company with less knowledge in react. Pls help by suggesting any advise what step i can take?
None but had almost 350 a few months ago. That is how insane it has been and should be kept in mind when extrapolating.
To all those Big Law associates billing over 160 hours, do you have any guarantee that the extra billable hours will correlate to increased pay or are you at the whim of the partners giving you a bonus?
The practice of law does not require you to be someone's billable hour machine.
Exactly. It’s also been so busy that l will get put on deals I said “no” to and that I don’t have bandwidth for.
Always heard of 300 but literally how. I’m dead, completely dead, at 250.
I’m deader than dead. Didn’t think it was possible either. Lateraled for that $bag. Huge mistake. The hype is real.
None. I maxed around 260 and that was more than enough.
Never. 260 was my highest.
About 6/36 when I was doing PE M&A. I don’t know why people enjoy the work. A majority of that time was spent chasing people and on inane calls.
Somehow I like the work. Find it interesting learning about new companies and working with new people often. Also like pushing tasks through to get the project done.
But I am working way too much, and really question how long I can last in this job. Not unhappy, I just I want a life outside of my job. Can’t when I am billing 200+ a month and with some 300 months. At this point billing 170 a month to hit the minimum sounds so doable, but have no idea if I will ever get there.
I think 7-8 times. Covid really effected capital markets so about 5 of those times were within the last 18 or so months
Never. I don’t know how a 300 hr month is doable….I’m always completely wiped after a 200 hr month.
Never — max was ~225. Don’t know how 300 works physically.
I have had 0 300 months but consistent 250 months since the beginning of time. I’d rather have 1 300 month every once in a while then 180-200 most of the time
This
Never.
Zero. Highest was 275.
Maybe two or three
None.
Maybe once
One. I was so tired my eyes couldn’t look at my monitor for a week afterward.
Not corporate, but….
I don’t see how that’s sustainable. It wouldn’t be for me, and I’m no stranger to working long hours. Could I do it once here and there? Sure. But if it were a regular thing, I don’t see it ending well for me.
Twice during a crazy confluence of M&A deals and have otherwise been billing 240/month on average for the last 36 months in a primarily EC/VC practice.
My condolences. 240 ECVC is basically 300+ trial or M&A.
Two maybe
These days seems to be a lot more often.
I did two back to back 300 months as a first year. Since leaving that firm, I haven’t had one (going on 5 years now)
